Follow the story of Greater Sudbury's two most favorite bears Sud-berry and Sudbrina and the events of the Sudbury Blueberry Festival du bluet.  For residents and visitors our annual festival celebrates our best above ground natural resource. 

Blueberry Festival memories:  

Introducing the new bear and announcing the contest to give her a name at the start of the 2006 Festival.  It was love at first "bear hug" and during the 2007 Festival Sud-bury Bear proposed to Sudbrina who is is pictured below showing her engagement ring.  They continued their engagement in 2008 and in 2009 got a wedding licence at city hall, however, no wedding bells yet for our favourite bear pair - maybe this year?   .

Sudbrina bear is very popular.  Here she is leading a sing-song with kids at the annual Ukrainian Seniors Blueberry garden party.

Everybody loves Sudbury Blueberries and is proud of our best above ground resource and free for the picking everywhere, or you can buy them from vendors at the side of the road or at the downtown Market Square. .
